Job Description - Director North America


Role

Responsible to the ICRA Executive Director for the oversight of all operations of the ICRA North America operation.

Duties

To be the organizationís primary representative in North America and to ensure the efficient and effective running of the North American office.

To be the liaison with existing North America members and to actively promote ICRA membership to prospective companies and organisations.

To be the main spokesperson to the press and media on all matters relating to ICRA in North America.

To work in all relevant areas of government relations, representing the mission, operations and future plans of the organisation to national, state and provincial governments.

To vigorously promote the ICRA rating and filtering system to parents, teachers and other concerned adults through comprehensive public education.

To actively promote the ICRA rating system to content providers in North America.

To negotiate, secure and oversee all contractual arrangements for use of the rating and filtering system with third parties in North America.

To travel where necessary to give presentations, demos, talks and seminars on the ICRA rating and filtering system.

To be responsible for the smooth functioning of the ICRA North America office including all administration, financial controls and legal responsibilities.

To respond to any other reasonable duties that may be requested from time to time.

Reporting

The Director, North America will directly report to the Executive Director and will liaise with the Director, Europe and other staff as appropriate.

Salary

$70K+ depending on qualifications, experience, etc
