The Insafe network coordinates Internet safety awareness throughout Europe in partnership with national Safer Internet awareness nodes. It raises the impact of Internet safety actions by facilitating the exchange of information and resources between national awareness nodes.

Origin: The Zap website for children has been launched based on a research project, called the European Collaborative Environment (EUNCLE). The project brings together European Schoolnet, the coordinator, and seven other partners from all over Europe.

Safety: Any content appearing on, or linked from Zap must comply with the "Appropriateness" criteria, ensuring safe content for children. Sites should ideally conform also to the non-mandatory criteria.
